12 nabbed in Santa Rosa prostitution sting

SANTA ROSA, CA

The operation was conducted along Santa Rosa Avenue from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. using five female undercover officers who posed as decoy prostitutes, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.

Twelve men, all residents of Sonoma County, were arrested for soliciting the female officers for prostitution, according to police.

Five of the suspects were additionally cited for being unlicensed drivers or for driving on suspended licenses, and their cars were impounded.

One suspect had outstanding arrest warrants.

All the men were cited, released and assigned a date to appear in court, police said.
