Thousands celebrate Jerry Garcia in San Francisco

Thousands of "Dead Heads" gathered in San Francisco's McLaren Park Sunday to celebrate the life of a rock legend.

Sunday was officially "Jerry Day," honoring the life and music of long-time Grateful Dead leader Jerry Garcia. Garcia would have been 68-years-old Sunday.

Crowds dressed in their best tie-dye gathered for a free festival and tribute concert. The event was organized by a community group from Jerry Garcia's childhood neighborhood," the Excelsior District.
