You always hear attractive people get better jobs and higher salaries, but that's not true for one category of job seekers.

A new study shows good-looking women are overlooked for jobs considered masculine.

Researchers at the University of Colorado Denver Business School asked participants to rank applicants for specific jobs, looking at their pictures.

They found beautiful women were ruled out for research and development manager, finance director, mechanical engineer and construction supervisor.

But attractive men did not face similar discrimination.
