Officers responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of Leafwood Drive and Sunset Parkway at about 9:50 p.m., Novato police Sgt. Jennifer Dunlap said.
Arriving officers found the victim shot in the upper body. He was taken to Marin General Hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
The suspect or suspects fled in a white vehicle, Dunlap said. No further description was available this morning, and the motive remained unknown.
