Alesaundra walked several blocks from her home to a nearby fire station last Friday after her father collapsed in the living room. Her father had gotten some medication confused.
"I've been here over 20 years. It's the first time I've had a 3-year-old walk up to the fire station," said Fire Capt. Robert Villalovoz. "She walked us down to her house and there her dad was sitting in the living room needing medical care."
The family says they pass the fire station every day and point to it as a safe place. Apparently, Alesundra was listening to her parents.
