Vince Hunter was on vacation 1,500 miles away from his house in Connecticut when he got word of the crime. His new $5 app, called iCam sent him a text message alerting him that motion detectors from his security system were going off.
He then checked his iPhone to see the webcams installed in his home. He called 911. Police showed up a few minutes later.
Unfortunately, the burglars were already gone after being scared off by the home's alarm system.
