PACIFICA, CA

Investigators arrested Daniel Bustos-Mendez, 18, of Menlo Park, and a 17-year-old boy on Wednesday after search warrants were served in multiple locations in San Mateo County, police said.

Bustos-Mendez and the boy were taken into custody in Menlo Park, Capt. Dave Bertini said.

Two other teens, both 17-year-old boys, were arrested Saturday in connection with the armed robbery, in which a 30-year-old clerk was shot multiple times at a Shell station at 679 Hickey Blvd. at about 8:20 p.m. Friday, according to Pacifica police.

The clerk survived his gunshot wounds and is recovering at home.

The four suspects were booked on charges of attempted murder, carjacking, robbery and attempted robbery.

Investigators believe the teenagers could also be involved in other crimes committed in Colma and South San Francisco.

Police from Daly City, Colma, South San Francisco and San Mateo assisted in the case, as well as the San Mateo County Gang Task Force.
