Study examines portion sizes at restaurants

WASHINGTON

The Center for Science in the Public Interest doled-out that advice as part of a new study on portion sizes at restaurants.

For example, the Olive Garden's dinner-size serving of Capellini Pomodoro is about 3.5 cups -- 840 calories.

The FDA says one serving of pasta should be only one cup.

A bagel from Noah's Bagels weighs about four ounces. The FDA recommends two ounces. And Starbucks chocolate chunk cookie checks-in at three ounces -- compared to the recommended one ounce.
