Drinking milk could help lose weight

A university in Israel tracked 300 overweight men and women, or people at risk of being overweight, between the ages of 40 to 65. It happened for two years.

They were either on a low fat, Mediterranean Diet, or low carb diets. Those with the highest dairy calcium intake lost about 12 pounds. The biggest losers drank about two glasses of milk a day and that added more calcium and Vitamin D to the diet, which helped them lose weight.

That study is published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
