Muni requiring doctor's note from sick drivers

It appears Muni has found a sure fire remedy for drivers sick calls.

The agency now requires a doctor's note from any driver who calls in sick.

The San Francisco Examiner reports that since management required drivers to provide physician documentation when calling in sick, the daily rate of Muni operators missing work due to ailments has fallen by 42 percent.

The policy was changed after rumors began swirling about a possible sickout by drivers in protest of wage cuts.
