Santa Rosa market cited for selling alcohol to minor

SANTA ROSA, CA

A minor decoy visited a total of 14 licensed locations, where the decoy then attempted to purchase alcohol.

The decoy was sold an alcoholic beverage at only one of the businesses visited, and an employee at that business -- Lola's Market, located at 440 Dutton Ave. -- was issued a citation for selling alcohol to a minor, police said.

Funds for the decoy operation were provided by a grant from the state Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

Santa Rosa police plan to continue routine undercover operations until both local businesses and the general public adhere to laws regarding minors and alcohol, police said.
