Santa Cruz police arrested four adults and one minor on child pornography charges after conducting an online sting.

Keegan Knutson of Monterey, Eryk McGill of Aptos, Robert Paris of Santa Cruz, and Kyle Unger of Boulder Creek were arrested, along with a juvenile from Santa Cruz.

Police say over the last month, an undercover detective interacted with the suspects, who were interested in sharing sexually explicit photos of young children. They downloaded thousands of pictures and videos.

"One child was as young as two years old and a lot of them were under 10. These photos and videos were very sexually explicit, very graphic. Just to think that people would be transferring these kinds of photos very openly, very willingly," Zack Friend from the Santa Cruz Police Department said.

Santa Cruz police worked with investigators from a special unit from San Jose that's dedicated to investigating Internet crimes against children.
