Samuel Green, 24, was shot at about 9 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of International Boulevard, just south of the lake.
Officers responding to reports of gunshots found Green wounded, police spokesman Officer Jeff Thomason said. He was taken to Highland Hospital where he died Saturday evening.
Investigators are still looking into the circumstances of the shooting. Thomason said no arrests have been made in the case.
