Right field fence allows Giants fans to watch game

SAN FRANCISCO

There is a spot where you can watch the home games -- free of charge. In fact there are four of them -- openings in the right field wall at AT&T Park. The spots are standing room only and you can only stay there for 20 minutes at a time.

Regulars at the spot call themselves the knothole gang.

AT&T Park is the only major league stadium with these built-in sections. The Giants created the knotholes hoping to attract passerbys walking on the adjoining promenade -- people who might not otherwise be inclined to watch.
