Santa Clara Valley Medical Center slapped with lawsuit

SAN JOSE, Calif.

According to our media partner, the San Jose Mercury News, two cardiologists and a medical assistant claim that more than one patient has died at the hospital as a result of substandard care.

Both employees say they faced verbal abuse and a hostile work environment when they spoke out about problems with patient care.

A Santa Clara County executive admits there are personality conflicts in the cardiology department, but says several outside and internal inspectors found no evidence the patients in question died because of hospital negligence.
