The students at Frick Middle School had a visit from Oakland Raider Lamarr Houston. He addressed the rash of violent teen deaths.
Just this past August, a 13-year-old who was a graduate of Frick Middle School, was gunned down. Houston told students that education and a positive focus are crucial.
"Just stay focused on school and everything else will take care of itself. I know a lot of things seem important right now, but a lot of the efforts should go towards school work," said Houston.
Houston says he enjoys talking to kids and acknowledges that positive role models have helped him when he was younger.
