Pilots, flight attendants oppose full-body scanning

Do you get offended by having to go through those full-body scanners at the airport? If so, join a growing crowd.

Pilots and flight attendants are opposing the scanners and not only for privacy concerns, but for health reasons too.

Each time you go through the scanner, you are exposed to radiation.

The levels are much lower than a normal x-ray, but if you travel a lot, it can build up.

Thursday, famous hero pilot Cpt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger joined the opposition.

"I think it's unnecessary for the flight crew to go through them first, and second, I think it poses some radiation risk," says Sullenberger.

You can opt out of the body scan by submitting to a full-body, full-contact pat down, but some think that's even more intrusive.
