Man accused of raping toddler to appear in court

36-year-old Eugene Ramos will appear in Alameda County Superior Court to enter a plea on charges stemming from an incident last week in a Union City Dollar Store.

Ramos is a registered sex offender with a prior conviction for assaulting a 7-year-old Hayward girl in 2003.

Witnesses to the crime are asked to call Detective Sergeant Jared Rinetti at (510) 675-5229. Those wishing to use the tip line can call (510) 675-5207 or e-mail information to tips@unioncity.org.
