San Jose police hope someone will recognize two crooks, captured by surveillance cameras and help officers stop them before they strike again.

The two thieves escorted a 75-year-old victim out of the Target store on North Capitol Avenue on December 2. One of the men approached the victim and offered to sell her a gold bar for $12,000. The man claimed she could then re-sell it for $25,000. The two thieves accompanied the victim to two banks, where she withdrew cash and gave it to the conmen. The gold turned out to be fake.
