DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities include supervision of all aspects of the newscast, including overseeing story placement, writing, video editing, timing, teases, graphics and other editorial and production elements. Oversees and assigns work of writers and production assistants. Contributes story ideas and participates actively in editorial meetings. Ensures broadcasts meet standards for fairness, balance and accuracy. Executes the philosophical mission and strategic vision as determined and directed by News Management.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have medium to major market newscast experience producing a Monday through Friday newscast. Supervisory experience and knowledge of the Bay Area preferred. A four-year college degree, preferably in journalism.
