Jackson was also the owner of Jackson's Haven Residential Care Homes for the elderly for 20 years. She also co-owned and operated a McDonalds for 8 years. Jackson has participated in numerous professional affiliations such as San Francisco business and professional women's club, California Society for Children, San Francisco Black Chamber of Commerce, and many others. Jackson has also dedicated her time to the community through serving for many organizations such as the International Host Committee, Western States of Golf Association, board of directors for Black Leadership Form, and many others. She is the recipient of several awards and honors such as the Malcolm X Award in 1995, San Francisco Business & Professional Women's Club. Inducted into Western States Golf Association Hall of Fame 1991, among many others. She attended Southern Illinois University and San Francisco State University. Jackson lives in San Francisco, and is married with two children .
