An outage affecting nearly 3,800 customers was reported in northern San Jose at about 11 a.m., but power was restored to all but 20 customers at about 12:30 p.m., spokeswoman Fiona Chan said.
Outages hit more than 500 customers in Pinole at about noon. Another 500 or more customers were affected by outages in Santa Cruz County around the same time, according to PG&E.
A combined 500 customers were without power in the East Bay and Peninsula just before noon, Chan said.
