Thousand of birds take over SJ neighborhood

Thousands of squawking flapping sea gulls are making the Almaden Valley neighborhood their home.

Thousands of squawking flapping sea gulls are making the Almaden Valley neighborhood their home.

They started invading the area in November, because they are apparently fond of a few ponds there. Neighbors, however, aren't too fond of the uninvited guests, saying the birds get into fights, drop a lot of waste and pose a sanitation hazard.
