Here's how it works, users take a picture of a license plate and pass a message along through the Bump.com application. If the driver of the other car has registered with the network he or she will receive a text message or an email message. They can decide from there whether they want to respond. Registering is free of charge. Some critics are already worried that the site will become a new venue for raging at bad drivers.
There's a new social networking service for drivers. Bump.com links people's license plate numbers up with e-mail and voice mail accounts so strangers who pass on the road can now leave messages for one another.
