Two boys hit by car outside school in Antioch

ANTIOCH

The boys, both 7, were struck at about 2:50 p.m. outside of Marsh Elementary School at G and West Madill streets, Antioch police Sgt. Steve Bias said.

They had apparently run out into the street in front of a slow-moving car, he said.

One was airlifted to the University of California at Davis Medical Center, and the other was driven to a hospital by his mother to be checked out, Bias said.

"There did not appear to be major injuries; one of them had some visible scrapes," he said.

The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with police.
