A new German study says the age at which you have your first drink of alcohol, may help predict what kind of drinker you become later in life.

Researchers found that those who had their first full drink at a young age were more likely to drink heavily during stressful events. The association was strongest among those who started drinking at age 14 or younger.

The study was published in the journal "Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research."
