PG&E to ensure ratepayers don't pay for Darbee's pension

The California Public Utilities Commission has told PG&E to set up a special account for outgoing CEO Peter Darbee by May 15.

The CPUC says it will audit the utility to make sure customers are not paying any of Darbee's nearly $10 million pension.

On Monday, PG&E said its shareholders would pay for the entire retirement package.

Darbee announced last week he was stepping down at the end of the week
