SAN FRANCISCO --There is now some relief for Muni riders who take the popular and overcrowded N Judah rail line. A new Judah express bus will pick up passengers between 48th and 19th Avenues and then travel non-stop between 19th Avenue and the Financial District during the weekday commute.
It's part of a six month pilot project. The express bus will operate in addition to the existing N Judah light rail line. That line carries nearly 40,000 passengers a day -- almost 30 percent of Muni's rail customers.
