The fountain grove lodge opened a model apartment today at its ten acre Santa Rosa campus. When it's completed in about 18 months, the community will include six single family homes, and a 64 unit main building.
Amenities include a pool, gardens, and gourmet meals, and continuing medical care for residents who end up needing it.
"And that would be assisted living services we have a memory care center onsite which would give them dementia and Alzheimer care services," said Cindy Gallaher, the retirement home owner.
Backers claim this is a first of its kind development -- the concept is so popular that deposits have been placed on more than half the units.
