Spirit Airlines is launching service from Oakland International Airport to Las Vegas and to celebrate, you can buy tickets for just $9 each way. You have to buy the tickets Wednesday, June 22 and Thursday, June 23. Service does not begin until August 18th.
You have to buy one subscription to the airline's $9 club, which normally goes for $59, but you can get one for $20. It is a little complicated, but it is good for two months and covers the entire party you're flying with.
I did the math as if I was going to take my whole family there. So with the $9 per person, per flight, plus the club you have to join at $59 and the additional fees, it comes to $281 for four people. That's a good deal, but remember, Spirit Airlines will charge you $5 for printing out your boarding pass and additional fees to carry on your luggage. So make sure you read everything before you go for this deal so that you're not surprised by other costs.
