Police say the shooting occurred inside LaSalles bar around 10:45 p.m. Saturday. A man reportedly suffered at least one serious gunshot wound to the chest, while a woman standing near him also was shot, the Chico Enterprise-Record reports.
The two victims, whose names have not been released, were transported to a local hospital. Police say there may have been a third victim whose injuries weren't serious enough to require medical attention.
Authorities later detained an unidentified man who was in the bar at the time and say he remains a person of interest. No arrests have been made.
Police say a firearm was recovered at the scene.
