Virginia Tech works on developing car for blind

If there is one task that seems out of the question for the blind, it's driving, but not so, say researchers at Virginia Tech University. They provided pictures showing a car they are developing for the blind and sight impaired.

It's an ordinary vehicle, but it's equipped with sensors and computers that send signals to the driver.

The researchers say they have a long way to go, but they believe someday the blind will be able to drive safely and independently.
