BART releases second shooting surveillance tape

SAN FRANCISCO

The tape was released late on Friday evening but is too far away from the scene of the shooting to show much of anything.

BART Police Chief Kenton Rainey ordered the release of the video after originally saying all surveillance tape of the incident had been released to the public.

Tapes released earlier showed the BART officer pulling out his weapon.

Rainey says he was misinformed about the new tape, which is why it wasn't released until late Friday.
