It was nice while it lasted but those falling gas prices now are reversing course.

Gas prices have been dropping steadily all summer. Now that you're taking your trip, they're climbing back up.

The average price of a gallon of gas jumped by 9 cents the past two weeks nationwide; it's now $3.70 a gallon. In California, the average statewide is $3.78.

The lowest statewide average price is $3.69 in Fresno.

The Bay Area has the highest price at $3.83 a gallon.
