Santa Clara police hope a parking lot surveillance tape will help them catch the two men who stabbed a volunteer leaving a bingo game Thursday night.

Surveillance video shows the victim walking to his car around 10:45 p.m., outside the American Legion hall on Walsh Avenue.

Two men appearing to be wearing black hooded sweatshirts approach him. The victim fought back when they tried to rob him and he suffered a minor stab wound to his abdomen.

Police tell us the thieves didn't get any cash. The volunteer was carrying a bag that contained paperwork. The bingo game raises money for a number of charities.
