Facebook helps NorCal mom reunite with daughter

YUBA CITY, Calif.

Eighty-year-old Helen Torres raised five children, but she had to give up her first-born daughter, Christina. Another of Torres' children spent years trying to find her long lost sister. She finally built a Facebook page in Christina's name. That led to a phone call and at long last a mother and daughter reunion in Sacramento.

"She just stared at me and I hugged her. And then she hugged me. She didn't realize I was her mother. And then she called me mom. And I said 'oh my God, she called me mom,'" said Helen Torres.

As it turns out, Christina never knew she was adopted. She's now trying to get used to the idea of having a mother plus four brothers and sisters and several nieces and nephews.

Christina is moving to Yuba City next month to be with her family.
