Scanners at SFO no longer display naked images

SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The TSA installed new software in the scanners on Wednesday that will no longer show a passenger's actual image.

Instead, the scan will show a generic image that will highlight any anomalies, like a weapon, but not body parts.

The TSA came under heavy criticism after installing the full-body scanners two years ago, after authorities say a man tried, but failed to detonate a bomb hidden in his underwear aboard a transatlantic flight.
