Coroner ID's husband, wife in Fairfield murder-suicide

FAIRFIELD, Calif.

Police received calls of a shooting at a home in the 300 block of Tulip St. around 6:38 p.m. Officers arrived and found 39-year-old Cassandra Turner and 38-year-old Adam Turner with gunshot wounds to the torso inside the home's garage.

Medical personnel pronounced the two dead at the scene, Fairfield police said.

Police determined that Adam Turner shot his wife of eight years during an argument and then turned the gun on himself. Two witnesses were inside the home during the shooting, but were not injured.

Three of four witnesses who were in or just outside the house are siblings and the suspected shooter and victim were their parents, according to police.

They were interviewed by police and are staying with family in the area.
