SAN JOSE, Calif. --
One person ended up in the hospital after getting burned, while another suffered smoke inhalation when a fire broke out at a condominium complex in San Jose Wednesday afternoon.
The flames gutted two units and spread to the attic area above four others, in the six-unit building on Bear Valley Lane near Penitencia Creek County Park. The fire also caused part of the building's roof to cave in.
No firefighters were hurt.
Investigators remained at the scene into Wednesday evening, trying to figure out what sparked the fire.
