BART protesters may ride trains today

SAN FRANCISCO

It's the eighth demonstration since the July 3rd shooting of a homeless man at San Francisco's Civic Center station. About two dozen protestors demonstrated outside the civic center BART station last Monday service was not disrupted.

The hacker activist group anonymous says protestors may be riding some trains this time. Meanwhile, the BART Board has now added its support to an assembly bill now waiting for the governor's approval or veto.

If approved, it would give the transit agency the authority to issue a restraining order against protestors with multiple violations. If those protestors return, they could be arrested and charged with misdemeanors.
