Health insurance scheduled to rise though employers

Insurance rates will go up next year, but the good news is not as much as they have in the past.

A nationwide survey finds employers expect health care premiums to increase 5.4 percent on average.

It's the smallest increase in 15 years -- last year it went up 9 percent. However, rates are still rising faster than salaries.

Many companies say they will offer lower-cost health plans with bigger deductibles. Others are making employees contribute more from their paychecks for health coverage.
