Severely emaciated dog found in Livingston

A shocking story of animal neglect out of the Central Valley.

A severely emaciated dog was found in Livingston on Thursday.

The dog, between 4 and 6 years old, weighs only 25 pounds. The Catahoula breed normally weighs around 65 pounds.

He is currently being held at the Merced Animal Shelter until the owners or a foster home can be found. Anyone with information about the dog's origins or who is willing to foster and provide a home for this dog can contact the shelter at (209) 385-7436.
