A Senate hearing will be held on pipeline safety improvements since last September's San Bruno gas explosion.

The hearing will focus on the National Transportation Safety Board's investigation into the San Bruno blast. Senator Dianne Feinstein is scheduled to testify.

PG&E was held primarily responsible for the blast that killed eight people and destroyed 35 homes. But the NTSB also blamed state and federal regulators for not sufficiently monitoring the utility's safety efforts.
