The San Francisco Chronicle reports Quan's aides say she is now in favor of some sort of curfew, but how it would be implemented must still be worked out. The city administrator says she's working with staff to create a plan that would work within existing resources.
City Council President Larry Reid says the change of heart is new to him. He supports the curfew, but says Quan blocked its passage in the city council a few weeks ago.
