2011 is looking to be another record setting year for free shipping deals. The National Retail Federation is gearing up for its big "free shipping day" set for Dec. 16th.
Last year 1,750 merchants joined in and the federation expects about the same number this year. Those joining in promise to ship for free and fast -- all deliveries are guaranteed by Christmas Eve.
Among the merchants signed up for free shipping day are J.C. Penny, Kohl's and Macy's, DSW, REI, and Barnes & Nobel.
