The airline now has a smartphone application that lets you track your luggage, much like you track a package sent by UPS or FedEx.
It works by letting you type in the number on your baggage claim tag. The app will tell you the last place your suitcase was checked in by a baggage handler.
What it cannot do is prevent mishaps like luggage falling off a cart. So just like packages, your bags still could be lost, you'll just know up until when.
