Martin Anthony Urena, 25, of San Jose, was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of fatally shooting Garcia in front of a house in the 400 block of Nerdy Avenue on June 11 at about 2:40 a.m., police said.
Detectives identified Urena as a prime suspect following multiple interviews and an examination of evidence, police said.
Investigators have not yet determined the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting.
