TSA offers special medical needs hotline

The Transportation Security Agency is now offering a special hotline for travelers with medical needs.

The TSA Cares program helps people who may require extra support getting through security. Passengers can call before they get to the airport and have customer service managers coordinate checkpoint support. Their items will still be screened. TSA recommends passengers call 72 hours ahead of travel.
