Fatal crash closes lanes of Bay Bridge

The crash was reported at about 10:45 a.m. between a motorcycle and a gray Toyota Avalon near the bridge's S-curve, according to the CHP.

The motorcyclist was ejected and thrown against the wall and fencing on the north side of the bridge and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger in the Toyota were not injured, the CHP said.

The two right westbound lanes were blocked while San Francisco medical examiner's officials responded to the scene.

The lanes were reopened at about 12:35 a.m., CHP Officer Marc Johnston said.
