Your trips could cost you more, a lot more. Low fare airlines Jet Blue and Southwest are leading the way.
Both announced increases of $10 per round trip on many medium and long flights. Southwest says it has raised prices about 7 percent over the last year.
It didn't take long for other airlines to match the fare hike.
United, Delta, American and U.S. Airways announced similar increases. The airlines are blaming the high cost of fuel. Jet fuel accounts for about a third of the cost of running an airline.
